Victor A. Afanador was named to the New Jersey Law Journal's prestigious "40 Under 40," a listing of prominent attorneys who are under the age of 40.

Lite DePalma Greenberg Successfully Obtains Ex Parte Orders to Show Cause. Victor A. Afanador and Jason E. Macias successfully persuaded the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey to issue an Ex Parte Order to Show Cause on an emergency basis for the benefit of an Lite DePalma Greenberg corporate client whose faithless employee was misappropriating corporate funds.  With the assistance of the United States Marshals Service, Lite DePalma Greenberg quickly seized electronic and hard copy evidence from the defendants office in another state. Lite DePalma Greenberg’s efforts led to an immediate and complete victory for the firm’s client, as the defendant agreed to leave the company and transfer his equity interest back to Lite DePalma Greenberg’s client.

Allyn Z. Lite, Joseph J. DePalma, Bruce D. Greenberg and Michael E. Patunas were all included in the list of "New Jersey Super Lawyers"  in the April 2010 issue of New Jersey Monthly magazine. This is the third consecutive year in which Messrs. Lite, DePalma and Greenberg were named to the "New Jersey Super Lawyers" list. Mr. Lite and Mr. Greenberg also appeared on the "Super Lawyers" list in 2005 and 2006. Victor A. Afanador, Jason E. Macias and Mayling C. Blanco were all included in the list of "Rising Stars."  This is the fifth consecutive year in which Mr. Afanador has appeared on the "Rising Stars" list.

Allyn Z. Lite recently authored an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in Morrison v. National Australian Bank during the 2009-2010 Court Term on the subject of the application of the securities laws of the United States to foreign investors, which brief was quoted in the National Law Journal.

Lite DePalma Greenberg Announces Settlement in Atlas Mining Securities Class Action Lite DePalma announces final approval of a $1.3 million partial settlement in the nationwide securities fraud class action against Atlas Mining, Inc. Lite DePalma Greenberg serves as sole Lead Counsel for the Class.  The partial settlement is with Atlas Mining, Inc., NanoClay and Technologies, Inc. and the individual defendants, and was reached after over two years of litigation in the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.  Litigation against the Company’s auditor is currently ongoing.

Stephanie M. Kay and Marisol Perez collected over $4.3 million in 2010 for the firm’s healthcare clients.

Bruce D. Greenberg was quoted in the Newark Star-Ledger article about Bosland v. Warnock Dodge, Inc., a New Jersey Supreme Court decision that rejected an attempt to reduce protections for consumers under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. Mr. Greenberg had submitted a friend of the court brief in the case on behalf of Consumers League of New Jersey, whose reasoning was adopted by the Supreme Court in its unanimous opinion.

Joseph D. DePalma was featured in a recent Seton Hall Law Rising publication for alumni. The article, entitled "A Gift of Gratitude – Lite DePalma Greenberg, LLC" emphasizes the firm's commitment to giving back to Seton Hall Law.

Bruce D. Greenberg was quoted in the New Jersey Law Journal regarding Chin v. DaimlerChrysler Corp., in which plaintiffs' attorneys' efforts had been the catalyst for relief worth over $54 million to purchasers and lessees of Chrysler vehicles.

Bruce D. Greenberg was quoted in the New Jersey Law Journal about the mechanics of the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. The article focused on the Pet Food Products Liability Litigation, in which Lite DePalma Greenberg filed more cases than any other firm in the nation.

Jason E. Macias was quoted in the New Jersey Law Journal on the subject of addressing "science first" in the Multidistrict Litigation, In Re Human Tissue, MDL No. 1763, involving the processing and later distribution of stolen bone and tissue from corpses in funeral homes. Lite DePalma serves as liaison counsel in that case.

Bruce D. Greenberg was quoted in an article in the National Law Journal about the use of confidential witnesses in class action securities cases. A similar version of that article appeared in the New Jersey Law Journal as well.

Joseph J. DePalma was quoted in an article in the New Jersey Law Journal about ERISA securities litigation. The article highlighted the firm's success in In re Schering-Plough ERISA Litigation, 420 F.3d 231.

Bruce D. Greenberg was quoted in the New Jersey Lawyer newspaper on the subject of the impact of the Class Action Fairness Act on New Jersey class action cases.
