MICHAEL E. PATUNAS is an experienced litigator with broad experience in many types of civil litigation, including intellectual property, commercial, class actions, business torts, negligence, land use, condemnation and real estate matters. He regularly handles substantial litigations in the New Jersey state and federal courts. In recent years, his practice has consisted largely of complex intellectual property litigation.

Mr. Patunas also has substantial experience in the areas of real estate and land use law. He has assisted many individual and corporate clients in acquiring real estate by lease or purchase and in prosecuting applications for development approvals before numerous local boards and the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission. Mr. Patunas has also worked closely with major real estate developers who are redevelopers of blighted properties. He has served as counsel to the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Borough of Moonachie.

In the corporate area, Mr. Patunas has assisted clients in forming corporations, limited liability companies and other entities for various purposes, including the acquisition of existing businesses. In this role, he has closed multi-million dollar purchases of such businesses as automobile dealerships and manufacturing operations.

Mr. Patunas is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He has also been active in the American Inns of Court, Seton Hall School of Law Alumni Chapter.
